Now the rumor is that the P&W is getting 4 SD45s, one of which is still in SP paint.

Jeff I replied to this but it didn't fwd to the MRS Forum so I'm reposting it
directly. It's a bit dated but should still be of interest.

Jeff,
did you know that P2K Canada did a Genesse Wyoming Familyscheme lettered Huron Central. SD45? Very cool I have one. There is one on Ebay right now, here is the item number. 5958506139 or search Huron or even SD-45.
This person is nuts, I payed like 50 bucks plus shipping, but at least you
can
check it out. The P2Ks SD-45s run very good.
And Joe, NOTE the nose is a seperate part!

Jon,

It's probably a very good thing that I didn't see your post until long after the auction was over... as is, $125 for a loco is currently much too rich for my blood.

Pretty unit though!

Joe,
I re-read this ops report and I find it very interesting! do you think we will have a report with more details about the dispatcher job? I'm interested in knowing more about the papers he use and how he keeps track of all trains on the marker board.

once again thanks for these reports!

Denny:

That's a good idea ... I'll try to do that in one of the future reports.

Joe,
I think someday in the future I'll need to fly to Oregon and be a guest engineer

J.E.,
thanks for both the avatar and the world championship. even though I'm not a soccer fan (I am part of the 0,1% who doesn't follow soccer in Italy) I'm happy for the result.

DISPATCHING DISCUSSION!

The excellent dispatching discussion that rose up on this thread is so useful I have moved it to its own thread:
